Hawker Sea Fury F.B.11

April 3, 2018 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.8K

This is the and pattern resin . It represents an aircraft of the Royal Australian Navy 724 Squadron, based at HMAS Albatross, Nowara, New South Wales. The Fisher Sea Fury is an absolutely fabulous model to build and to my knowledge is the most accurate Sea Fury to date. This was a joy to build and I compliment Paul fisher for his excellent model. It is expensive but if you want an excellent 1/32 Sea Fury, this is the only one.

The Sea fury is perhaps one of my favorite aircraft and I am looking forward to seeing the 1/48 kit soon to be out from Airfix.

  2. Yes...a nice build indeed (especially seein's how it's also resin - something I try to avoid).

  3. Frank, always wondered what one of his looked like. She is a beaut! Like the markings!

  4. Beautiful, Frank, it must be quite a size in 1/32.

  5. Thanks GEORGE, and it is heavy also

  6. Hi Frank. Congrats on your Sea Fury. It really is an awesome model. Well done!

  7. Hello Frank,
Job well done. It is good to see the Sea Fury back in model land.
    Regards, Dirk / The Netherlands.

  8. Another nice build Frank! I've built a couple of old 1/72 Sea Furies, and would really love a newer mold in my scale! Perhaps after Airfix get's the 1/48 out, they'll downsize!

  9. Beautiful build and beautiful looking plane.

Great looking build of a great looking warbird.

  11. Yes indeed, that kit is super, and your model is great.

  12. Elegant and sleek, Frank. It's difficult to get interest into a one color scheme, especially dark colours, but you have definitely nailed this.

  13. A beautiful build!

  14. Great Sea Fury, my friend! I especially like the dark color - you don't see that very often on anything but perhaps Hellcats & Corsairs.

I would hate to try to guess the weight of that beast! Well done, Amigo!

(I hope yesterday's excitement worked out well and you can sleep without all those sirens, choppers, & other noise. I haven't seen the news, so I don't know the outcome.)

  15. Yep, you nailed it Frank-Great looking Sea Fury. I can vouche first hand for how much it weighs! Here's to an appropriate two fingers of Blue to you my friend!
