1/72 ICM Bf-109-E7 Trop

December 21, 2018 · in Aviation · · 5 · 3.3K

Just finished this early this morning. Bf-109-E7 Trop. Painted with MRP and Gunze Mr Color. The kit breakdown is exactly like the Tamiya offering with a bit more flash and no locating pins. Fit was a bit more fiddly. When I pulled off the canopy masks I noticed that the headrest armor had pivoted forward a bit. Not going to pull the canopy off and fix it so this is done. Added Master barrels in the wings and a Quickboost seat. Antenna is Uschi Suprfine Thread. The markings are from the kit with the exception of some stencils and swastikas and depict the aircraft of Oberleutnant Ludwig Franzisket, Gruppen Adjutant of I./JG 27 at Ain El Gazala, Libya October 1941.

  1. Man, it is brilliant work. Congratulation.

  2. Lovely '109, Geoff! I really like the desert scheme and the big, yellow nose.

    Bravo!

  3. That's a real beauty! The E is my favorite 109, and that scheme is also very nice. Well done.

  4. For 1/72 scale you did a great job on the 109.

  5. Geoffrey, I had to take another look, when I realize it was actually 1/72 scale. Like Greg says, I like the E version a lot. Its nice seeing them done well, like what you've done here !
