Modelhaus Resin 1/25 Scale 1969 Dodge Charger R/T
This resin body at the time (1996) was the only 69 Dodge Charger available. This model was kit bashed with the AMT 1970 Dodge Super bee and the AMT 1969 Plymouth GTX kits. Tires and rims, engine bay, steering wheel, complete under carriage suspension and exhaust from the GTX kit. Correct resin 727 Torqueflite transmission was added. To make the Dashboard correct for the Charger I used the Dash from the Super bee kit. Engine bay has many scratch built parts and add on's. The color is a 69 Dodge color Q4 Light Turquoise with white interior. Don't you know, Few months after building this kit, Monogram released the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T kit! LOL All my MOPAR kits are built factory stock. All are factory correct. Only flaw on this kit is the air cleaner pie plate. It reads 383... R/T's were 440's. After market decals were not available at the time. So, same color and format though, just the numbers are different.

I really like it too. What I especially like is how you use the OEM factory colors on your builds and how you strive for accuracy. True die hard Mopar guys like myself pick up on little things like the pie plate. You even painted the negative battery cable like they did on the assembly line. The heater hoses look very authentic too... Love it !
The 69 Charger is my favorite B Body Mopar. I have owned a lot of Chargers over the years, but they were mostly the 3rd generation cars. I did own a 1970 R/T which I happened to purchase from the 2nd owner at the time. It was a U code 440 Magnum car with a 727 torqueflight automatic, and a 3.91 sure grip differential.

Now I'm not so skinny and my hair is more gray than dark. I wish I could have kept this one... It had 86,000 miles on it when I sold it to go to college. It was almost all numbers matching original. Don't tell anyone, but the wheels on my 1970 Charger were from an AMC Javelin...with the correct center caps.

Nice cars Louis! I am a 62 year old mopar fanatic! Never a Ford guy! Had a 69 mach 1 4 speed 351w car. Red with blackout and black and gold trim. I had it for two weeks buffed it out and sold it for a profit. Biggest piece of c**p I have ever owned. Rode and handle like garbage. That was it for me. I was a big olds 442 guy had 3 of them. My first road runner that was the big that but me!
