  1. Excellent job on this Fokker! The paint job looks very realistic , good brushmanship !

  2. This "oldie but goodie" turned out darn well IMO...nice all-around work.

  3. As Jay mentioned, lovely brushwork, it’s easy to overdo that/underdo it. But you are right in the Goldilocks zone.

    Lovely little Fokker...

  4. splendid build

  5. It's always good to see someone persevering with this old, but memorable Revell kit of the Triplane. It's very atmospheric and you're to be complimented on the work modifying the old style ailerons, as well as the internal structure that's rarely very apparent. I think Steinhauser also flew an earlier Tripe (147/17) with similar markings and the older style ailerons. I wondered why you chose to have the eiserne kreuz on the top wing, rather than the balkenkreuz elsewhere. It seems strange to have both styles on such a late production a/c. Paul

  7. Very fine paint work

  8. I built up my 1/28 Triplane as the earlier prototype plane that was flown by Werner Voss. I had to make several changes to mine since the horizontal stabilizer had a rounded leading edge. Like yours I scratched a cockpit and several other parts. I especially like how the Fokker Streaking turned out on yours. One of the first "how to" articles I wrote here on Imodeler was on how I did the brush strokes / streaks on my Tripe. Yours turned out very well.

Paul Nash was kind enough to steer me in the right direction when I was building up mine. He's a very knowledgeable person on the type.

The Dr-1 and its cousin the D-7 are my favorite German planes from the Great War.

Well done my friend yours looks fantastic. Two thumbs up.

I hit the "like" button too !

  9. Excellent work!

  10. As many have said, lovely job on the streaked fabric and on the cockpit detailing. Why, oh, why did Revell ever come up with 1/28th? This would still be a not bad kit in 1/32... wondering when WNW will do the Dr.I. Pretty much irrelevant to me though, as 1/48 is the ONLY scale! 😉 The Eduard kit is near the top of my to build list- hope I can make it look as nice as your Revell!

  11. Really excellent work all around on this old chestnut of a kit. Your nailed the streaky camo with your brushwork.
