Mefistofele Black Paint scheme
This is a photo from Scale Model World 2016 of the Mefistofele pre red paint. Would anyone know of any photos that show more detail profiles of the Mefistofele with the black scheme and shorter tail section. I’ve seen some photos of the black paint car but no real details. I have two of these models and one I have plans to make it a close look alike to Jay Leno’s Fiat Botafogo. That’s going to tap some bring out skill on my part.

I tried all of those image sites and it’s real hard to get a good profile, mainly the whole tail section. I think what I’ll do is use the same design from the photo at the Scale Model world show. Also the photo of Eldrigde setting in the mefistofele does partially match the model. This will be a slow build as I want to get it as close to right as I can. Thanks you for your help Craig.

Why not try and get in touch with Leno for some pictures ?

On the Fiat Botafogo, I already have measurements and close up photos and there’s massive internet photos to go by. On the early black painted Mefistofele as far I know there’s not a lot of photo documentations. On the photo of the model in this post, that is the person I would most want to communicate. So if the builder is following please contact me.

Beautiful! I wish there were more photos – especially of the engine!
