Red Arrows and more at the Spirit of St. Louis airshow.
I spent a great day at the Spirit of St. Louis air show in Chesterfield, Missouri yesterday. The Red Arrows put on a great show. They're about half way through their North American tour. Make a point to see them. The Spitfire in formation with the Arrows is an actual combat veteran Mk.IX that is now owned by a fellow in Montana.
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
Looks like a great way to spend a weekend...
Been a long time since I've taken in an air show...thanks.
(but I just KNOW you took more pictures than this) - 🙂
Thanks for posting, like Craig, I haven't been to an Air Meet recently. As a kid, I was hooked!
Lucky Man, thanks for sharing
Poor fellow in the Spitfire. It looks like he is being bounced by Red Arrows...
The F-35 may never be a favourite of modelers as there is no way to portrait it in faded colours, chipped paint, repainted areas, over painted markings, massive under wing loads, exhaust stains or oil leaking etc.
Thanks for posting photos.
Being that everything's better in California ( 🙂 ), our show in Huntington Beach next month has the Red Arrows, the Snowbirds, the Horsemen (civilian team in 3 F-86s), a 2-plane A-10 team and some others I forget. Got tickets on the pier, right under the show!
Lucky you, TC!
F-86 team sounds cool. This show also had the Blue Angels who I see in Pensacola often so didn’t mention them. A T-6 team, multiple F-18s, an F-22 and lots of flying WW2 stuff. I really enjoyed the Red Arrows. Have fun Tom!
