Super nice!
Compliments on the rest of your Lavochkin family too... I have couple of these in my stash from Vector resin (before ICM and Zvezda released their kits). I am now itching to break them open!
Cheers,
Aleks
Another in your Russian stable - I like that splash of white on the scheme. I'm not sure I have a LaGG in my stash, but if I do, I think I'll mimic your scheme yet again!
Nice touch with the chipped paint on the forward wing and near the walk way showing the wood finish. the painting is excellent and I like the photography David. The close ups of the nose and the undercarriage really show the model at its best.

Thanks Aleks ?
Nice work. How did it build? I have one in the stash.
A pig to fit the wings...lot of sanding to make the wing roots and wing lengths match!
Thanks!
Great job on a nice kit. To me one of the best-looking of WW2 fighters. Too bad about the power-to weight ratio...:)
G'day David,
Excellent job.
You've motivated me to post my version of the same aircraft.
I have really enjoyed checking out all your Russian builds this week. The quality of all of them is quite impressive.
Many thanks

You're right about the kit being a "pig" for fit, but you certainly made the most of what was there in the box. Your Lavochkin collection is great.
You need to hunt down the Loon Models conversion so you can do an La-5F (either that or get a La-5 and La-5FN and "mix and match").
I've done a La-5 FN Eduard with the cowling opened up. Can't find the pics at the moment.

Twp thumbs up.
I made a Polikarpov I-16 as a newbie last year and chipped it on the wing to show metal...I was soon corrected by a Russian !
