1/48 Ki-45 TORYU (Nick)

February 9, 2020 · in Aviation · · 5 · 3.1K

This is Hasegawa's 1/48 scale Ki-45 TOYRU Japanese Heavy fighter. The kit was detailed with the CMK resin cockpit detail kit. The camouflage was all hand painted. I used the kit decals for the Manchukuo Air Corps.

You can see all the details and photos from start to finish in the build log at https://davidsscalemodels.com/build-log/1-48-ki-45-toryu-nick/

Dave! Nice work. Glad to see we're still crossing paths. I'm getting back into this hobby and enjoying it more and more. I expect I'll see you at some shows again. Stay in touch, I need a mentor!

  4. Now, that is a cool camo scheme! When you say “by hand”, I assume it involved a lot of masking, right?
    Great looking build!

    • No masking. All by free hand.
