ARMA Hobby Yak-1b 1:72
In contrast to my Plattformwagen, I had a far better experience with this stunning kit. I can’t sing its praises enough. Despite being a fairly young company, this kit’s quality equals if not exceeds Tamiya and Eduard kits. I’m not kidding. The engineering is fantastic. The surface detail is exquisite yet subtle.
The instructions were very clear and detailed. Five color/marking options are provided and illustrated in beautiful colored guides. Each option based on a specific WWII Yak pilot and links are provided to the pilot/aircraft history on the ARMA web site. The aircraft I chose was on flown by a Free French pilot lent to the USSR. Note the roundel under the canopy.

Great looking model Dennis, I had to check twice if it was indeed 1:72 (my favourite scale). Well done!

Thanks, Dennis, for sharing your fine work on this model.
ARMA….a newcomer with a bright future with primary focus on 1/72, hopefully.

These Arma kits are little jewels and they don’t have a lot of parts. But whats on those parts is masterfully crafted and thought out. Dennis your build looks as if it where in a larger scale and you’ve done a excellent job of bring the best out of this kit.
Two thumbs up. Thank you for sharing.

Fantastic – and since I only build 1/72, I’ll be on the lookout for this brand of kits, as it does look excellent – love the rivet and panel detail. Great looking model!
