Sabre Models Plattformwagen Type SSys 1:35

This model is intended to carry a Jadgpanther in rail transport mode which was inspired by Meng packaging this kit with their Jadgpanther kit, which is already in my stash. This kit is not for the faint hearted and previous experience building rail kits is advised. It has many parts and the instruction illustrations are unclear at significant steps. Also, deciding the best sequence to assemble and paint components was challenging. If that wasn't enough, it has thick sprue connections and essentially every piece had mold lines--some substantial.

I painted it with Tamiya paints, Abteilung oils and Ak weathering pencils. The shiny metal surfaces were painted with AK True Metal wak steel color.

If you give it enough attention it builds up to a nice representation. This won a first place award in the railroad category at a recent IPMS contest.
