A 1/12th Tamiya SUZUKI KATALINA GSX1100S Motorcycle.

April 20, 2020 · in Automotive · · 2 · 1.4K

Three year's have past by since I built my first "cycle" so it was time to build my second and last one in March of 2014.

This kit was a joy to build and there was next to no flashing on the kit parts, especially all the chrome items. I had tried to repaint chrome parts on some of my model cars, but the paint never match the pre-chromed parts, so I took special care of all the chrome items.

I gave both of the motorcycles to our "son-in-law" who owned a real big one that two people could ride on.

I used some different colors of my brand paints, the added the kit decals.

The End! RJW.

  1. Tamiya do really great motorbike kits and your build fully shows this off.

  2. That's a typically fantastic "R.J.W" build. The Katana was one of the iconic bikes of my adolescence. I LOVED the looks. Your build depicts them spot-on.
Congratulations, sir, and thanks for the sweetest trip at the memory lane!
