AT-T tractor, 1/35, from Trumpeter

June 9, 2020 · in Armor · 5 · 3.1K

Greetings to all forum members.

The AT-T heavy artillery tractor was used by the USSR during the cold war, for the transport of heavy artillery and some types of missiles. It was based on the chassis and engine of the T-54.

Trumpeter's kit is very correct, both in the fitting of the parts and the detailing. Strikingly the inside of the engine compartment lacks the radiator, which I made in scratch.

For the painting I used Russian Green Modern from Mission Models. For the wethering I used AK washes and pigments from MIG and Casttle Art.

I hope you like it. Greetings.

  1. Even a Ram pick-up truck would look like a dingy next to this. Great looking model.

  2. Stellar work with this one, both the scratch work, painting and details make this a rather unique and exotic model. AFV are not my thing I can assure you but I can’t help to comment when I see good ones like yours. Thanks for posting

  3. This is a greatly built model, Juan, with excellent painting and weatherig. Looks 1/1 scale!
I loved the radiator scratchbuild! Trumpeter continues to amaze us: engine bits included but not the more obvious radiator!
    All the best!

  4. Very nicely done. I would like a 1/1 scale version for driving home from the pub!
