Korea GB: Tamiya 1/35 M-41 Walker Bulldog
Ok this build was amazing. I absolutely love Tamiya and I only ever want to build their tanks now haha! The only downside per say was the tracks, which I figured a way to do well. But it's done! For now, at least. You may see it again. Not sure yet. But seeing as this tank was brought to Korea near the cease fire, I'm sure it didnt get much dirty just sitting there, so it's pretty minimally weathered.
Nice work, Jordyn.
Thank you so much. I'm glad I got to participate in this GB. I think it's my first time for a GB here, too.
Jordyn,
Your Bulldog looks very good. Thanks for participating in our Korean War group build. These Tamiya kits always seem to build up nicely, and that adds to the fun when you don't have to fight it every step of the way. I pressed the "liked" button too. Keep up the great work !
Yea, of course. It likely wont be my last entry. I'll see what happens in September when my birthday hits. I hope I can get my dad to build a model with me. Hes always busy, and I think getting us to do a buddy build for the GB could be cool.
Good looking build, great job!
Thank you so much! I think you may like it better here soon. I've got some plans...
Looks like the real thing !
My son only wants to build Tamiya armour as well. Iβm still trying to make him finish an Italeri Patton tank. For him itβs the organisation of their sprues and the instructions that are stymying him.
Well done.
Yeesh. Italeri. I havent built any of their models since my KV-1/2, which I later accidentally destroyed... yea, quick tip, do NOT put oven bake clay in your model to weigh it down... BUT, as for his Patton, I wish him, and you for trying to get him to finish it, luck. Thank you for reading!
π β¦ Greetings β¦ π :
This is one fine work Jordyn, looks very good, clean and sharp.
Your liking towards Tamiya armor models is well placed, hope too see more of your work.
You will likely see something next week. I'm in the process of finishing up my Huey. Should be 10x better than this bulldog. And then once I get the Betsy Ross on my bulldog, it should also look 10x better. I dont know what it is about those 13 stars that makes me so proud, but it does. Thanks for reading!
Nice job, Jordyn! I'm glad to see you building armor as well as aircraft. When the time comes, armor is really fun to weather. The M26 Pershing dio I recently posted used the Tamiya T26E3 Pershing...give it a build someday, you will like it too.
Yea, armor is my new favorite thing lol. Of course, I still have a few plane projects I'd like to get done, but I really want to get into armor.
Nicely done Jordyn, and all tanks had to be new as well as clean when they came off the assembly line. I like it.
Yes that's true. I was just worried it would ruffle a few feathers ?
Good job Jordyn, Tam tanks are nice to build, the Walker Bulldog is a classic light to medium tank that replaced the Sherman and to compliment the Pershing and the upcoming M47 Patton tank. Always liked the look and yet simple layout of the M41 tank, similar in the larger M47 and the next generation of US MBT's up to the M60. Thanks for sharing.
Yea, that turret is so cool to me. I'm probably going to build another one someday. It's well worth it.
