Porsche 962C Hasegawa

November 7, 2020 · in Uncategorized · · 26 · 2.1K

Oh no! California Steve has returned!

And it's about time. Oh my how life gets in the way. All good, and I figured since seeing all the really great race car builds I would throw in my humble offerings.

A basic, and I mean basic kit. But a lot of fun. I built this OOB because the yellow color just caught my eye. If you do a search for images of the 962C their are so many different paint schemes to choose from.

Well that's all for now. Have fun and take care Gents and Lady.

  1. Rumors of his death were premature...

    Nice looking racer Steve.

  2. Steve! Welcome back. Great looking Porsche! Gotta love their race cars...

  3. Why thank you Tom. It was a fun little build. I have a question for you. The F-4-F on flotes is that the one you built for the Chino Planes of Fame? That is one of my favorites.

  5. Thank you very much Alan. Great to hear from you.

  6. That sure will stand out in the cabinet!

  7. Thank you very much Haslam. It almost glows in the dark next to the camo painted builds.
I might have to make a shelf for the shiny things!
    Thanks again.

  8. Steve! Have missed ya, boyo. Haven't seen that icon in too long.
That's a very cool lookin' automobile you did. Nice shiny paint.
But shouldn't FromA have a toZ after it?

    • Hello Bill! You know, I really have to look up just who the heck is From -A .
What a dope I am.. Oh well. I glad you likes and it's good to hear from you again.

  11. Thank you very much Spiros. I took a look at your builds. Very very nice! I too have two boys both in their thirties now. Your boys looked like they were loving the trip to the plane museum.
    Thank you again Spiros.

    • Yep, Steve @stevenflowers, I have been bringing them to the base I work since they were a few months old.
      So, it's in the breed!
They are 5 and 3 years old now, addicted to planes and aviation!
Glad to hear you have two boys too!
      Thanks for kind words!

  14. Amazing 962 Steve but what is really amazing (other than your return) is that there was a road spec version of this car! For actual use on public roads with other motorists!

  15. Amazing 962 Steve but what is really amazing (other than your return) is that there was a road spec version of this car! For actual use on public roads with other motorists! Here's one in yellow to compliment your racer. One for the track, one for the road! I do wonder how many 917 genes still reside in the 962 as the family resemblance is there!

  16. Way cool Josh! Please send me the street car. I can't imagine driving this on the street.
In the kit they give you a couple of options for the rear spoiler. One inside the whale tail and one {get out your Dremel tool} of a stand alone spoiler. Thanks for sending the photo and the welcome back.

  17. Sharp finish. I was wondering where you were. Welcome back!

  18. Looks great. Nice to see you back with this Porsche. Imodeler needs more automotive builds like yours.

  19. Awesome mate!
Yes, I'm tired of working for a living cutting into my model building time!
    Good to have you back.

  20. Hey Richard! Great to hear from you again. Glad you liked. I just picked up a old Monogram Lola Indy car model. It's the STP Vince Granatelli issue. I couldn't help myself. At a whopping $16.00 American what could possibly go wrong?
Maybe I should have left off the last sentence. Haa!
    Madness and Chaos to follow!
