Trumpeter, Mig-15 UTI, 1/48

January 15, 2021 · in Aviation · · 12 · 3.2K

Hi guys,

, Mig-15 UTI two-seater in .

It was supposed to be an easy and quick project. but as soon as I took the package out of the mail (Israeli post), I realized it would not be easy. The package looked like it had been shot by a tank... Many parts were broken and distorted. The three parts of the canopy became eight... this is what I call a challenging model ?

The model was supposed to have a Soviet color scheme, but the decals were so poor that they fell apart as I put them in water.

It eventually became a Syrian plane.

Hope you liked it anyway ?

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. Very nice Allon! A Syrian warplane nicely weathered!

  2. Amazing build, as always, Allon! Great markings, too!
How did you manage with the broken transparencies?

  3. Good save. Turning it into an "airfield queen" hides a lot. That takes talent and skill!

  4. That is one high quality weathering job.

  5. A nicely worn build, Allon.
A good decision to turn it into Syrian scheme.
    Not so often seen.

  6. Nice work, Allon. We don’t see Syrian aircraft often.

  7. Incredible result, the weathering is so good, definitely liked.

  8. Very nice! I've never seen an NM finish weathered so heavily, but it does look "naturally" dirty under the various layers! I do like it.

This is an amazing build ! I echo the comments made above... You really know how to weather aircraft and armor builds... Your models always look so realistic and lifelike. I always look forward to seeing your builds posted in the headlines. Well done my friend... again.

And again I pressed the "liked" button. 🙂

    Stay safe.
