Modelsvit 1/72 MiG-21F
MiG-21F from modelsvit.
Although the model is self-sufficient, some improvements were made, because of, I dropped the almost finished model. And some protruding were broken. and I had to handcraft them again.

Nice build Rovshan! I wonder how this kit compares to the Revell kit.

Hello Jim!
I did not hold the model from Revell in my hands, but looking at the photographs it seemed to me that the nose goes with a kink. Well, so, they write that the Revell has a narrow nose and, respectively, a canopy of the cockpit
Regarding Modelsvit, this set has better details, but there may be problems with the sprues. For example, the handle of the ejection seat was not refilled. The pylons were offset. Also, small parts must be carefully separated from the sprues without damaging them. Feeders for them are thick. And after separation, you need to process it with a file and fine sandpaper.
Summing up, I will say that Revell’s kit is better in assembling, but the model from Modelsvit better matches the prototype. Therefore, when Modelsvit released the next series – F-13, I did not hesitate to buy this one too.
IMHO
P.S. Sorry for my English. Partially used google translator to answer 🙂

🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
A very well built representation of the popular Mig-21 Rovshan.
Despite you mentioned accident, the model turned out in good form.
Nice work on the weathering.

Thank you colleagues for your feedback! Nice to read!
Yes, it was a pity to throw this model in the basket, it took a lot of effort to restore, but I think it was worth it 🙂

Great looking NMF early Mig-21. Seems that Modelsvit have a nice kit that might be more accurate than Revell’s, and you showed it to us. Thanks and keep posting.
