Airwar over Austria…1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw190A-9, III./KG(J)27
One of the models my dad built around 6 years ago for our ongoing theme "Airwar over Austria".
My dad started at first the original A-9 Eduard kit, but due to a bigger mishap it landed in the trash. He kept the A-9 nose ring and used an Eduard A-8 kit that we still had in our kit pile. The wheels are from Dragon, the sliding canopy from Tamiya, the late style drop tank from the spares box. EZ Line for antennas, the usual small details added, Gunze and Tamiya paints and varnishes used. Decals are partly from the Eduard kit and partly from Kagero Topcolors 38 (Fw 190s over Europe Part II). Kagero´s book also used for reference.
The green-white fuselage band was painted.
Model shows an aircraft of III./KG(J)27 near Wels/Upper-Austria in spring 1945
Another beautiful build, Reinhard.
Compliments to your dad.
