  1. very good shade of colors!

  2. I've always preferred the looks of the Hurricane over the Spitfire, and this is a lovely example, definitely liked.

  3. Alistar,

What a real Jewel, these Arma Hurricanes have a relatively low parts count, great surface detail, have the correct shape and have accurate dimensions . Some strong work in the build and paint dept and you have brought out the best in this kit. Some real eye candy.

Thank you for sharing and two thumbs up.

  4. Nice model and work Alistair. You are inspiring me to get my vintage Hurricanes built !
Thanks for the paint explanations. Wil try that out.

  5. Very sharp work. The colo(u)rs really stand out. 12 machine guns! Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of those.

  6. Nice looking build, Alistair.

  7. Very nice work on this and a great result. Very inspirational, since I have the same kit and was planning to do the same option.

  8. Very nice, Alistair (@alistairfgauld). Painting and finish is perfect. Now you made me want to move my Hurricane farther up the build queue. Shame on you. :o)

  9. Awesome build, Alistair @alistairfgauld
Hurricanes were real workhorses in the beginning of the war.
That mirror on top of the canopy must have been a real challenge, some tiny on 1/72 scale.

    • Thanks so much.
It was a bit more than a challenge. It is made up of two separate pieces of photoetch, both of which require folding and I think it took me about 90 minutes to get it right.

      Cheers,
      Alistair

  10. A wonderful IIb, out of the good Arma Hobby, Alistair.
Excellent rendition of this beautiful camo.

  11. Fine looking Hurricane. You did justice to this kit!

  12. Looks great, Alistair. Really nice work on the camo and weathering. The colors are spot-on. Good to know the brand of Azure Blue you are using - it is so difficult to find the right shade. You just missed the Desert Air War GB on this one. Even so, your fine model can clearly supply some inspiration for us all. Thanks for posting.

    • Thanks very much Colin,
ColourCoats can be a little hard to get hold of if you're not in the UK. I believe they have sellers in The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Australia and the US and as they are enamels there can be difficulty shipping them abroad.

      Cheers,
      Alistair

  13. Nice work on your build, the finish is spot on making it look great.

  14. Looks great, beautiful color scheme.

  15. Another beautifully done Arma Hobby Hurricane - I'm definitely going to have to add one to the stash! Love the desert scheme. Well done.
