Sherman T-31 Demolition Tank
Developed in America in 1944 with a view to landing it on the D-day beaches this derivative of the Sherman tank was designed as a blockbuster to deal with beachhead fortifications. The redesigned turret featured a 105 mm howitzer and two 7.2-inch rockets.
Only 2 prototypes were built. Due to production delays and weight problems, it never went into full production.
The model is based on a Tamiya 1/35th M4A3 chassis and the turret was designed in Fusion 360 and 3d printed by me.

You can't kid me, that's really a whiffer, right?
Real or not, that's some serious creative effort on display there.

I've added a picture of the turret before I painted it just for reference! Thanks for your comments.

A great result on this build, Derek @derekaustin
I was not aware of the existance of these prototypes, looks very aggrassive.
Awesome scratchbuilding.

Thank you. Although I'm told that designing and 3d printing something isn't scratch building, we maybe need a new term!

Wow! That’s something I had zero knowledge of. Great work fabricating that turret.
