This kit was originally a stock kit, but since it's a model, I made some modifications to it.
Air funnels were added, front and rear suspensions were lowered, spoke wheels were re-tensioned with metal wire, seats and mufflers were replaced, etc.
Gorgeous. Massive improvement with respoked wheels. Quite a different beast from the boxtop.

A huge one cylinder, should not be to comfortable to drive.
Single-cylinder engine machines are attractive for their simplicity. This is what I hope to achieve if I were to ride one.
Great looking bike! I once owned her full-sized "big sister", a Yamaha SR500. It was a real good motorcycle, with just a kick-starter for that big single cylinder.

The Yamaha SR series is still a wonderful thing with a charm that has not faded. I wanted to recreate some of that charm in a model.

A very convincing build with the mods and the spokes. In my neck of the woods I see young people with these older bikes customized all the time. If you don't have a lot of money you find, buy and customize and given the times, wear a Go-Pro on your helmet.
