ICM 1/72 I-153 (Winter Version)
This has been lying in it's box incomplete for 2 years, but has finally been completed.
Primed with Tamiya Neutral Grey
Painted with Tamiya Flat Aluminium, Light Grey Nato Black and Flat White.
Citadel Nuln Oil and Seraphim Sepia washes.
Exhaust staining Tamita Weathering pastels.
Finished with Newton & Windsor Matt Varnish and Precision Ice and Snow Krycell.
Rigged with Uschi Van Der Rosten Standard.
A nice little if fiddly kit but I really seem to have problems with ICM plastic.
I find it very soft and takes a long time to set with Tamiya Extra Thin so I switched to using Revell Contacta.
Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Alistair
Another really fine model, Alistair! Nothing better than tackling an already started model and finishing it!
Thanks so much Spiros.
I'm chuffed to have got it finished.
Cheers,
Alistair
Looks very cool covered in snow (no pun intended)! Well done.
Thanks Greg,
The snow helps cover up the bits I'm less than happy with.
Cheers,
Alistair
Nice work Alistair @alistairfgauld.
I have not had problems with ICM and Tamiya Extra Thin - dumb luck?
Thanks Tom,
It's probably me being heavy-handed and putting too much
Cheers,
Alistair
Very nice little kit, Alistair @alistairfgauld
The winter camouflage looks amazing.
Thanks so much.
You're very kind.
Cheers,
Alistair
The watercolor winter distemper camo is one of the harder paint jobs to pull off. It looks real good.
Thanks very much
Nice job, the snow on the winter scheme came out great!
Thank you so much
