Latest builds – Wingsy 109 and ICM He111
After a long five months, I've finally completed the next two builds for my Battle of Britain anniversary series running in Model Airplane International magazine. These are both 1:48 scale models, the Wingsy Kits Me109E-1 and ICM Heinkel He111 H-3. The Wingsy 109 is a delightful kit and I thoroughly enjoyed building it, the same cant be said of the ICM He111 unfortunately! This turned into a major slog however I'm quite pleased with the end result. Whilst building the He111 my research turned up some new information on this aircraft which changed the markings and this will be covered in the magazine.
Both are extremely well made, Alan!
Congratulations!
Nice HE 111. 1/48 is a good size to get your teeth into. ICM kits seem to present challenges!
Nice He-111 and it's escorted by its own '109' to boot!
You can't tell the ICM kit gave you any trouble, amazing looking build. That Wingsy 109 looks great awesome with the dropped leading edges, nice to see an E-1 model.
Both are smashing builds !
Nice work, Alan!
Both builds look amazing, Alan @alanprice1
Although the 111 gave you a fight, it looks beautiful.
They will look great on the shelf together.
Both look great, Alan. Nice job.
A great looking pair, nicely done!
Both beautiful builds - love the paint and finish work on them. Well done.
Both those builds turned out really nice. I love the paint work on your 109, and think the 111 looks great.
I am currently building the ICM Zwilling and enjoying it, but will agree the kit is a challenge. https://imodeler.com/groups/imperial-german-air-service-luftwaffe-group-build-may-1st-1910-to-present-day/forum/topic/he-111z-1-zwilling-1-48-icm-kit/
Wow, just Wow! Great builds.
