The mouse that roared

January 2, 2022 · in Armor · · 14 · 1.3K

Dragon's Tiger II, done in 2014. I recall this kit being quite un-Dragonish as the instructions were mistake free and clear. The fit was superb, and the Magic Track links were a perfect friction fit that made assembly quite pleasant.

Figures are a mix of MiniArt and Dragon, the pitchfork was scratched.

I was still doing wood bases and using Celluclay for groundwork in those days. Corn plants from JTT and I used a Fredircus Rex grass mat that while ridiculously expensive looked very good to me.

The model was finished in the now no longer available Model Masters enamels. A pinwash was applied, then a dot oil filter was done as well. Bragdon weathering powder was used for dust and light dirt as well as picking out some different rust tones here and there.

This idea came to me out of the blue one day and I think I chuckled thru the whole process.

    That mouse is definitely roaring.
Not sure if that hayfark will do harm.

  5. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

  6. Something about farmers and their pitchforks. Nice build with a great story easily deciphered. I have to believe that something like this may have really happened.

  7. A very nice story in that diorama.
