Italeri Starter set challenge – 1/72nd P51 Mustang
Same rules as the Airfix starter set challenge: Use only whats in the box, plus a knife for cutting off the sprue and a sandpaper stick.

I'm not as happy as i was with the results of the Airfis starter set challenge tbh, the paint in this set was very gloopy and thick, even watered down. The problem was, if i watered it down to the right mix, the pigment was very thi, hence the dark grey is quite thick.
Looks really nice! I kind of miss that straightforward kit building sometimes. It's pure modelling.
I would encourage you to do it! maybe not neccessarily with the same strict rules as i am, but thats up to you! There are plenty of starter sets available, Airfix, Revell, Italeri, Heller and Mister Hobby kits all do variants of starter kits that inlcude paint, brushes and glue.

Thanks John, the paint and decals were bad in this kit though, still, it could have been worse. The Revell starter set challenge is next, with the 1/72nd Corsair.

Nice results for a starter kit.
The paint was a bit gloopier than in the Airfix starter set, so it was problematic to get smooth coverage, but i guess its kinda the entire point of the challenge!
