Well, that's a bazillion times better than the Trumpeter doorstop.
Very nice work on this and a great result.
Thank you.
Definitely better than the trumpeter one but it does have its challenges.
Excellent result, Joseph!
Thank you
Nice to see a second Sea Hornet posted here in less than a week. I can see this a much nicer kit than it’s out of whack Trumpeter 1/48 big brother, having built that one. You’ve done a fine job here, Joseph. Recommend it?
Thank you.
If not mistaken the best 1/48 model of the Hornet/Sea Hornet is the classic Airframes one. I am building a couple of trumpeter ones, just for the sake of building them.
As for the special Hobby, it needs some TLC but it can be done without major hurdles.
I built the Classic Airframes Hornet F.20 years ago and I have to agree, it's one of their better kits and much better than the Trumpy kits. The issue with both kits seems to be the canopy.
Neither are correct from what my research tells me. You might want to read my build of the Trumpeter big brother 1/48th I did last year that includes a photo of the CA Hornet. BarracudaCast does offer a couple of resin Hornet goodies.

It’s a beauty, love that colour scheme.
Thank you
Very nice result, Joseph @joseph_fenech
Beautiful paintwork.
Thank you
Very nice! A solid clean build. Those Sea Hornets sure had an interesting "nose," if you can call it that!
