Westland Whirlwind
This is the 1/32 Special Hobby kit. It is built to represent the aircraft flown by Squadron leader Eeles. -This is a wonderful kit in my opinion, but not for a novice. The interior and the landing gear assembly take a fair amount fiddling with to get them correctly in place. The remainder of the kit isn't really very difficult. -The kit decals were used-yes, even the ones on the aerodynamic acorn. These amazed me in that they were able to lay down without too much trauma on my part. - paints were AK, Tamiya, MM, Alclad clear coat, Testor's dull coat. The camouflage scheme is ocean gray, dark green, and medium sea gray. This was shortly after the change from green, brown, and sky. -antenna lines are EZ line
very nicely done
Spectacular, Steve!
Very nice result, Steve @jimmiesteve
Flawless build of a great kit. Good to know that the decals worked so well. I have one of these in my stash. The Whirlwind was an aircraft well-liked by the Canadians who flew it, in spite of engine problems. You have done the subject justice.
Thank you
Another beautiful build!
Nice work and a great result. Having done one of these, your comments about it are exactly right.
Very nice build of the Whirlwind.
I have this kit too sitting on the to do pile.
Very cool again. Must be a big one. "Aerodynamic acorn" well done.
