Eric,it was a protective measure to avoid sun reflections on the windows glasses, revealing to a prowling enemy the poor vehicle and its occupants even at great distances!
This is just cool, Marcus (@mvtb). Great work on an obscure piece of history. I like the blacked out windows. I read an article several years ago by a car modeler who took a 1/25 scale Ford "Woody" and converted to a WW2 staff car, but there was a lot of work involved to "militarize" it.
Nice job, look out for the Rat Patrol!
Great job, Marcus!
Love it!
To me there are no signs of all what you mentioned, Marcus @mvtb
The Ford looks very nice this way.
Very different and super cool. I like it
What? No side mirrors? Takes a truck driver to handle that kinda vehicle. Talk about driving in the dark!
Tks guys!

Thanks!
Great work, Marcus, there was me thinking that Fords only came in black.
Thanks George!
