Ford F-150 Flareside farm truck in 1/25th scale

June 6, 2023 · in Automotive · · 26 · 359

Hi all,

Here is my latest build of the 1/25th scale 1966 Ford F-150 Flareside farm . I built this truck in around 70 hours. Real metal trim and grill. Several techniques were used for the rust to include, dry brushing, chalk pastels and sponge painting. I used a mixture of fake snow and white glue for texture.

This truck is now off to her new owner, Jim's Transmission Service in Souix Falls South Dakota.

Hope you enjoy!

  18. @rickschad- I don’t model civilian modes of transportation, but I gotta tell you, every time I see a model such as this or equivalent everyday type equipment, I marvel and have a tremendous urge to try my hand at it. So many of this type of modeling just looks like something that magic was used to shrink it. And this model is a perfect example of that artist skill and wonderful talent to miniaturize our everyday life. Put in the proper photographic setting, one would believe they’re looking at any typical rural American, farm country vehicle. Just a treat to view. Fantastic and congrats.

  19. Wow! What do I say? Thank you so much, the hours of work I put into building models are worth it when I get compliments like this. I really appreciate you taking time to look at my build and I hope you give this type of build a try, I think you will find it fun and rewarding
