Morane-Saulnier in the Swiss Air Force 1939 – 1959
The Morane-Saulnier, together with the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and the Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6, formed the backbone of the Swiss fighter Squadrons, especially during the active Service period 1939-1945. They were involved in dogfights mainly in the Jura with the German Air Force or served as Escort aircraft for Allied Bombers to Escort them to Dübendorf which flew illegally into Switzerland. After its Service with the Squadrons, the Morane served for a Long time in Pilot training and as a Target Display aircraft for the anti-aircraft troops.
Most D-3800s served as Trainers at the end of the war and were retired in 1959.
Kit: Azur 1:32, Crew ICM, Willy Jeep Italeri and built the House myself.
Very cool, love those colors on this aircraft!
Not the easiest kit from my experience but you got a great result.
Superb result on a challenging kit, Hans Peter!
Very nice build and presentation.
Fantastic result, Hans Peter @messerschmitt
I do love that diorama as well.
Very nice display.
The Kit wasn't that easy, the MG Super Elevation had to be ground away, the exhaust System replaced and the Tail skid replaced with a rear Wheel. The Antenna at the front was made from Balsa Wood. The Canopy had to be adjusted.
Beautiful work, the Swiss schemes are very attractive!. Congratulations
Really nice model and diorama, Hans Peter (@messerschmitt). I love the bright colors on these Swiss machines.
Looks fantastic! Those Swiss machines could be recognized from a long way off...!
