The Beach Monster
Forget the Carpet Monster phenomena, how about the Beach Monster?
Let's play a game: In this photo somewhere is a 1/48th Hurricane rudder bar and stirrups. It is there, I guarantee you. I know this because i fortunately found it.
Reigning Where's Waldo? champion fifteen years and counting.
I think I see one of the rudder pedals! The rest must've been buried beneath the sand. 😁
I once lost the steering column for a 1/35 Tamiya Willys Jeep. It hurled itself into the unknown when I clipped it off the sprue. Looked for it for 30 minutes before finally throwing in the towel. Then, 24hrs later, I switched the light on and spotted it immediately and in plain sight. What manner of sorcery is this that make one feel humiliated and exhilerated simulaneously?
This is too interesting. I haven't found the pedals nor the lost Class ring, the doubloon, nor the diamond from the engagement band. But I think I see a foot print by Bigfoot, the World Champion in Hide and Seek.
