Italeri 1/72 Jaguar GR.1/3
An attempt to get as close as possible to how XZ119 looks in East Fortune now.
Well, apart from the open canopy but I liked the look of that.
A better kit than it's reputation as the fit was fairly good and I didn't have to resort to mounds of filler.
Primed with Tamiya Neutral Grey.
Painted with,
Colourcoats RAF Gulf Pink Sand, Light Aircraft Grey and Zinc Chromate Yellow.
Tamiya Rubber Black, Nato Black and Nato Green.
Xtreme Metals Steel, Burnt Metal and Alclad Pale Burnt Metal, Mr. Color Metallic Dark Iron
Washed with Flory Dark Dirt.
Finished with Windsor & Newton Galeria Satin Varnish.
Decals from Model Alliance.
Thanks for looking,
Cheers,
Alistair

Super result, Alistair @alistairfgauld
The scheme suites the Jaguar very well and you applied it perfectly.
Thanks very much
Very nice result on an under-rated kit.
Thanks Tom,
It was a lot easier to build than reviews and opinions would have it.
A Very nice looking Jaguar! nIce scheme!
Thanks so much
Nice work, Alistair! Jaguars look lethal sitting still.
Thanks very much.
It's the bandy legs that do it.
Beauty of a build, Alistair.
Very nice. In the scale modeling world, that molding is old enough that she could be called a ’cougar’ 😉
Thanks so much.
looks great! I remember my visit to east fortune years ago, where I got to see a BAC Lightning in the flesh! Awesome!
Thanks for posting.
Dan from Bermuda.
Many thanks,
