1/35 Tiger I
Commissioned build,
The iron cross ,Panzer attack badge and the text plate had to be incorporated into the diorama somehowe,
also wanted a small section of trench and and unexploded bomb…yeah why not !
I came up with this,
It’s is cast iron base and steel square tube from base to the top of the dust cover 1.02m /40in and a bit more .
He now wants one with a FLAK 88
Straight out of the box build with minor added detail ,.
Was a first
Was a first snow diorama for me .
And some photo editing of the Diorama.
Wow, it looks really professional, Maarten.
The composition of this diorama is exceptional. It looks dynamic and visually interesting at camera close up level and taken in at normal viewing distances (as in the first pic). That is rare in dioramas, in my opinion. The model is superbly finished and weathered. I also like the absence of figures in the trench, which heightens the tension while the tank crew are hunkered down in the turret. Very convincing simulation of snow, and excellent photo-studio image manipulation of the model to look like the real thing in period shots.
Thanks George and Colin
That is just too cool (no pun intended!)! 😎 Excellent composition and so much drama in one diorama. That is such a convincing winter scene that I get cold just looking at it! The tank, by itself, is impressive scale modeling, but when placed into that setting, the entire scene is just fantastic. Man, that is fine stuff, Maarten @piet! 👏
Really awesome result, Maarten!
Great build and display, Maarten. Well, well done!
Thanks Gary B, Spiros and Gary S

Hard to believe this is your first snow diorama.
Your customer must be very satisfied.
Very realistic setting. Great imagination.
Thanks John B and John T
Spectacular. Too many details to take in from the photos, which are great as well. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Matt
