Airfix Ferret Scout Car

October 15, 2023 · in Armor · · 6 · 312

My Scout Car Mk.2 done as a Mk.1 version with a 106 Recoiless Rifle mounted on it as used by the South African 18 light artillery regiment.
Paints used are Vallejo Model Color 70.921 English Unform for the hull. Other Vallejo paints used for other details. All are brush painted.

Still to put the SADF vehicle registration on it using white letter and number decals. Also need to matt clear coat it.

The first photo shows the actual vehicle I used as to model from.
There are some differences as I have used a .303 Browning in place of the 7.62 MAG in the photo. I have also fitted a fuel and water jerry can on my model. A small bit of modellers license so not entirely an accurate model.
