And my dad´s naval aviation theme continues.
Fine Molds kit oob, only added Eduard PE seatbelts, EZ Line for the antenna wire and plastic rods for the upper wing landing gear indicators.
Painted with AK Real Color IJN D1 Deep Green and AK Xtreme Metal White Aluminium. Did some postshading with clear smoke on the underside and tested the sponge method for chippin effects.

In 1940/41 the development of a more potent Zero successor started but was delayed several times. In the end the maiden flight of the Reppu was in 1944. Only few A7M1 and the more powerful M2 have been built.

  1. Another Spreitzhofer gem!
    Well done!

  2. Once more a great achievement by your dad, Reinhard @grimreaper
    Great detailing and ditto weathering.

  3. Excellent build.

  4. Looks great, lovely weathering. Sponge and chips is a weird combination, I prefer salt on my chips (please forgive my English sense of humour).

  5. Outstanding work, the weathering and chipping takes the realism to a whole new level.

  6. A great Reppu build, looks good. A Zero on steroids!

  7. Nice Reppu with excellent chipping.

  8. That's a beautiful OK job. The weathering looks really convincing, nice work.

  9. Weathering looks superb!

  10. Another beauty, and WOW, that is really big next to the Zero!
