1965 Ford Mustang

November 4, 2023 · in Automotive · 16 · 291

Just completed today. Revell 1/24 1965 Ford Mustang 2x2 Flashback (whatever that means lol). Built for a very dear friend and band mate, because he loves cars. I don't do cars so am a novice but I learned alot from doing this and watching alot of YouTube. Gotta say, cars are fun. I'll do more no doubt. Thanks for looking.

  1. Paul, that Mustang rocks! 🎸 It really does look great and that engine is terrific! πŸ‘ I've spent many hours in first-generation Mustangs; it seems like every friend I had in high school had one. And I would still love to have one today! Recently, I conducted an "auto-modeling archeological dig" through the left-overs and remnants of my time when building model cars, "back in the day". Man, not much is left but what it there shows just what a sloppy and awful builder I was! Glue-bombs galore! πŸ˜„

Oh, and I believe 2+2 refers to two seats in front and two in back. 😁

  2. That’s a nice looking Mustang. I always thought that 2+2 meant a two door car, like this Mustang, with two seats in the front and two more in the back.

  3. @paulwoodyvanacker - Great build Paul. Gotta love the classic Mustang!

  4. That Mustang rocks indeed, Paul!
    Congratulations!

  5. πŸ™‚ ... Greetings ... πŸ™‚ :
Before I forget to mention ... beautiful shade of green, it really makes it stand out.
The finish looks very smooth and invites to the touch.
True, when it comes to car modeling, I only build NASCAR but I can concede
to a well done car model.
    Nice clean engine work.

  6. You did wonderful on this Mustang, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker
Your friend will absolutely be happy to receive this one.

    • Thank you. He was over the moon. His girlfriend told me later that he was quite emotional about it, which really made me feel great, that he loved it that much.
Made it all worth it. πŸ™‚

  7. That 1865 model Mustang is really rare. πŸ™‚

Very nice work and a realistic result.

  8. Nice! Great job.

  9. Really nice finish on this Paul , I think it might be Fastback though, I used to work with a guy who had one and I'm sure that's what he called it. I must have a go at something like this someday I've always loved American hotrods.

  10. Beautiful Mustang. Building shiny stuff can be a hair pulling experience after building cammoed aircraft and tanks for a wile. I've always been a Hot Rodder and I have a bunch of model cars in various stages of being completed, I have to get back on some of them and post 'em. To many subjects I love and not enough time to build everything 😁
