Scratch Built 1/46 Scale MT Boston Blenheim
I have agonised long and hard about this model. Is it good enough to post on here? I finally decided that, as this is my first ever scratch built model, I'd give it a try and maybe get some to tips to improve the next one - whenever that might be!
The model is made of mostly bits of material I found around the house. The hull frame is plywood ribs with balsa wood stringers covered by papier mache. Much of the superstructure is cardboard although the trawl winch and anchor winch were bought as kits.
As to the ship itself, it was built in 1971 by Richard Dunston Ltd of Kingston Upon Hull UK and was operated by Boston Deep Sea Fisheries out of Fleetwood as number FD137. She fished Home Waters and Icelandic waters for both demersal and pelagic species. She was eventually sold to a fishing company in Chile and subsequently owned by the Chilean Navy
Peter, absolutely, she's more than worthy to be posted. Well done on this ship.

To be honest, this is excellent scratch building. My compliments for this achievement.
Welcome to this great community.
No problems with that build sir! It's a real shame that the Internet makes people hesitant to share their passions. This is a good place to do that and as others have said, it's absolutely fine work.
