Hannover CL III, 1:48 Eduard, pilot Rudolf Hager, observer Otto Weber, Schlasta 20
I hesitated for a while whether to display this model. After my return to modeling a year and a half ago, I decided on the planes of the great war, which attracted me since childhood. Above all, I wanted to test myself if I could master knitting at all. To begin with, I didn't choose a very simple model, so it shows a little in the final result. It's not exactly the cleanest build, but at least it's possible to judge if I've made any progress in that time. I will definitely build this model again.
The Hannover CL.III was a German military aircraft of World War I. It was a two-seat multi-purpose aircraft, primarily used as a ground attack machine. Like other Hermann Dorner-designed Hanoverian "light C-class" or "CL"-designated aircraft, it included an unusual biplane tail, allowing a greater arc of fire for the tail gunner. Until the introduction of the airplane, such tails were only used on larger aircraft.
This aircraft was shot down by American fighter ace Eddie Rickenbacker. During this fight, the observer Otto Weber was killed. Pilot Rudolf Hager survived the plane crash and ended the war in captivity.
Thanks for watching and Happy New Year 2024 everyone!
Looks an absolutely clean build to me, Milan! A super result!
Thank you Friend.
Gorgeous work, Milan. I am currently in Blenheim, NZ and went to Peter Jackson‘s museum in Omaka. They have one in display!
Thank you, I'm glad you like it.
A truly magnificent piece of work.
Thanks for sharing this aircraft.
Thank you.
Very nice Milan and an excellent result. This is not the easiest kit Eduard ever did, and you have made it look good.
The only thing I would suggest is in future projects you might consider separating the control surfaces. If you look around at WW1 models here, you'll see doing that gives a good look to the model.
Thanks Tom, yes I agree. Today I do it for most models. These were my beginnings in modeling.
Very nice work, Milan. @milantesar
Thank you John.
Another biplane model well done Milan.
Thank you Ian.
Glad you decided to present it, Milan @milantesar
It looks really good.

Thank you Greg.
Excellent work - I like it!
Thank you Chas.
