Hello, I am a former police officer from the Czech Republic. After 31 years I returned to building aircraft from the great war. My lifelong interest is history and WW1 pilots. I build 1:48 and occasionally 1:32 models. It's a big inspiration for me when I literally see works of art from other colleagues here.

Siemens-Schuckert D. IV, 1-48, Eduard, Ltn. Hermann Becker, Jasta 12, 23 victories.

Conversion from the Eduard SSW D.III kit. Made completely new wings, rudder and struts by casting from resin and sanding adjusted to the desired shape. I shortened the height rudder according to the drawing and modified it by grinding. [...]

Halberstadt CL. IV, (Rol.) Mirage Hobby, 1:48, Ltn. Hans-Joachim Rath, Schlasta 5

A very nicely made model with lots of small details and a realistic surface. However, this is a more demanding construction, due to the fact that all parts (even the small ones) are attached to the frame at four and six points. Removing [...]

Siemens-Schuckert D.III, Eduard, 1:48, Vzfw. Fritz Beckhardt. Kesta 46, 17 victories.

Pleasant construction, only the placement of the lower wing is a little more difficult than with the older edition of this model. Also, the color of the lozenges of the upper surfaces seemed a bit questionable to me, but then I saw a [...]

Albatros D.III, Oeffag (153.106), 1:48, Eduard, Lt. Franz Gräser, Flik 61J, 18 victories

I present another Oeffag model, this time from the 106 series. The propeller cone started to be removed from these series, due to constant problems with it falling off very often in flight. About the Albatross of the Austro-Hungarian Air [...]

Nieuport Ni-17, Hobby Craft, 1: 32, Maj. William Avery Bishop, 60 sqd. RFC, 72 victories.

This is my second 1:32 scale model that I have built in my life. So training for better models. A fairly simple model with very little detail. I modified the engine cover, rebuilt and modified the headrest to remove the hole and made the [...]

Phönix D. IIa, Special Hobby, 1:48, Fw. Karl Teichmann, Flik 17J, 5 victories

When I recently put the D.I version, it is necessary to add the D.II version from the same manufacturer. Made the same modifications as D.I, plus added aileron balancing that was omitted from the kit. The D.II version had, unlike the D.I, [...]

Phönix D. I, Special Hobby, 1:48, Stfw. Karel Urban, Flik 14J, 5 victories

This model from Special Hobby is quite good without major tricks. It was necessary to shorten the main intermediate wing struts a little. Further equip the cockpit. I also made a slight modification of the engine and completed the cooling [...]

Albatros D.XI, Karaya, 1:48, test pilot Lt. Heinrich Henkel, Jasta 37, 8 victories

I wanted to build a one off model of a lesser known aircraft type without strings, but how wrong I was. The hull was built excellently, everything fit and I only added a few details. But then I found out that five of the eleven cylinders [...]

Pfalz D.III, Eduard, 1:48, Vfw. Hecht, Jasta 10,

This is Eduard's first Pfalz release and one of my early models, when I didn't use tensioners and made the strings from threads pulled from women's stockings. Vizefeldwebel Hecht's aircraft of Jasta 10, was forced to land behind British [...]

Albatros D. III, 253.09 Oeffag, 1:48, Eduard, Hpt. Miroslav (Friedrich) Navratil, Flik 3J, 10 victories

A very nice model to build. I only removed the engine cover as they flew in the hot summer months. I retrofitted the engine with a few details. Next, I removed the surface detail on the fuselage and the bottom of the wings and put in new [...]
