Revell 1/48 F/A-18E round two
Did one of these awhile back and wanted to do another. All I could find was the version with the Top Gun decals which I refused to use so I got some Carcal AM...more on that in a bit.
Cockpit on the last one was blah at best so some AM was used to snazz it up. I also installed a Flying Leathernecks HUD which was a devilish little thing to install but looks great. I remembered some of the mousetraps present in this kit so I cooked up some sneaky tricks to counter them and the assembly went much smoother this time. Painted with Tammy light and dark sea grey.
My plan with decals only worked partly as when I went to apply them on the starboard side of the model they disintigrated with no hope of salvage much to my disgust; perhaps they were old. I got one good side out of 'em tho, and they were followed with a semi'gloss clear and a Flory's black wash.
May be the third time will be the bomb
Nice work on this. You produced an excellent result and got some serious value out of this kit!
Awesome job, Mark!
Excellent work, Mark @markh
The cockpit looks very nice.
Very nice! The cockpit is a winner.

Very nice work Mark.
Very nice build, it looks beautiful. Thoes 3D cockpit decals really look awesome, I don't built modern jets, but if I do one day, those look like the ticket.
Very nice finish on this plane. @markh
Thank you all gents
