Hiller 12C (OH-23G) used by Peruvian Ministry of Health - LF Models - 1/72

About the helicopter:

The UH-12C - a three-seat helicopter developed by Hiller Aircraft initially as the Hiller 360. The is one of development versions - the first with a distinctive spacious bulbous cabin (the 12A and 12B versions had cabins with flat diagonal planes). This version of the helicopter was equipped with Franklin O-335 engines.

About the copy:

One of two Hiller 12Cs purchased by the Peruvian Ministry of Health to support vaccination campaigns. After several years (?) transferred to the FAP (Air Force of Peru). Colour scheme somewhat presumptive - I found only 2 black and white photos of these helicopters on the Internet.

About the model:

The scale kit was used as a base, and it is quite poor and built straight out of the box can be moderately attractive. I decided to add some details (as far as the photos of the original allowed - mailnly cockpit & engine with everything around & above 😉 ). Painted Bilmodell paints, self made decals.

I invite you to watch and comment 🙂

  5. Well done, Konrad!

  6. What a little beauty of an important marque (more for the paddle control system really). The Fleet Air arm in the UK used a similar marque, not sure about my lot...and I really ought to know🙄😖😁. Beautiful matey, well done.

  7. That is some beautiful detail for 1/72! Love it!

  8. Great paint work and assembly. @konrad
