HobbyBoss C-47 Skytrain 1/72
Hi there!
This is my latest project, the iconic WW2 workhorse. This is a decent kit for the scale with good fitting in general. Decals are good, but there are just a few of them; not a single stencil or whatsoever. Invasion stripes and the big white T2's were painted.
I've used Eduard masks for the clear parts and Gunze paints.
As for weathering, it seems that, back in '44, almost all C-47 taking part in the invasion were relatively new, since Douglas Aircraft Co was delivering them by the hundreds at the time. So, chipping was minimum, but some dirt and fading were added.

I notice that HobbyBoss/Trumpeter made the same mistake they did on the 1/48 kit - the rudder is not metal, it's fabric covered.
That's not any fault of the model or modeler - this is a really nice looking C-47 and you did great paintwork on it.
