Centennial of Naval Aviation Feb 14, 2011 NAS North Island part 1
My last year in the Navy,I had the "Duty" for the weekend actually Friday afternoon and then Saturday. I got to see the fly in for most of these beautiful birds and was able to take a lot of pictures before the crowds the next day. 26 years in Naval Aviation was a model builders dream! I'll post more later
Great pictures of what seemed like a wonderful day, Rob @robertandy
It is always a big advantage if you can see those birds prior to the arrival of the big crowd.
I love to see the rest of the pictures.
That’s a nice paint scheme on the F-18 Hornet it’s always nice to have acces to the ramp before the crowds arrive.
More, more, more, Rob. Keep’em coming!
Love the retro Hornet and SH60!
Excellent pics, Rob! Thanks for sharing!
That's some nice photos. I like the T-28 Trojan with the Cat mouth in honor of VF-27?
Actually VT-5 had that on their T-28Cs when operational. Might have been in memory of VF-27 at the time.
Thanks for sharing, Rob. The GSB F-18 is awesome.
