KSR-5 aka AS-6 "Kingfish" ; Amodel ; 1/72

Today I present another model of the "aircraft carrier killer" - . This missile was a scaled-down version of the X-22. The main purpose of the modification was to allow the Tu-16 to carry missiles of this class. The Tu-16 could carry two KSR-5 missiles under its wings. Like the Kh-22 KSR-5 could be equipped with a conventional as well as a nuclear warhead.

About the model: short-run holding the Amodel level (sanding, puttying, etc.). Designed on a similar level as the X-22 with a small difference - the kit also includes a guide that allows you to mount the missile on the Tu-16 model (I didn't do it, because applied to the missile on the carriage would look terribly unnatural). Now I guess it's time to go back in time and make the X-20 model 🙂

To show how big these missiles were I present a photo with a MiG-21 model in the same scale.
