Wehrmacht MG42 gunner, Hürtgenwald, November 1944
I thought I'd get out of my comfort zone and try my hand at two things that I don't often do: Groundwork with a lot of foliage and larger scale figures.
Since I didn't want to ruin an expensive resin figure, I picked up the good ol' Tamiya MG gunner and painted it up. To go along with it and to give the figure a bit of an atmospheric representation, I made a small base with some autumn vibes.
The project isn't finished yet, still some detail work and painting left to do, but I'm happy to share my progress so far. And it's given me the confidence to do similar things in the future.
@jaybiga looking good my friend. It’s great to experiment with new things and you pulled it off. The face looks very well done along with the full build.
Thanks! It is now finished, so I will post some new pictures.
Although not finished yet, it does look great already, Jay @jaybiga
Thank you John! I'll post some new pictures, since the model is now finished.
Looks awesome, Jay...I'd say you have a new comfort zone!
