1/48 ICM B-26 Marauder

Here is my . I did a full review for IPMS USA:

https://reviews.ipmsusa.org/review/b-26b-marauder

A decent kit with nice modern tooling over the older Monogram kit. IT is NOT w/o its faults. The fuselage halves fit are a bit tricky esp. if one wants to include an open bomb bay. Also the exhaust fits on the engines nacelles can be a bit problematic. Otherwise the kit is well detailed & goes together reasonably well. I didnt really use the kit decals-[instrument panels and few stencils] . I employed the Pyn-UP decals sheet to do 'My Darling Agitator'

Also John Ferdico at Hawai Depot helped out with cutting a set of canopy masks ...IMMENSELY helpful!. I also cast my own WHITE METAL nose weight and offer them for sale if anyone is interested. Just contact me through the site ...IT fits perfectly as you can see from my photo.

  1. Very nice model Steve and I wish I had the eyes to paint the eyeballs on the figures!

That is a real nice build Steve @sjcorvi. From the looks of your in process shots went together pretty well, maybe not Tamiya well but definitely better then the struggles I remember with the Monogram kit. It really looks the part in final pictures too. I like all the interior, and the ability to put enough weight in it to make it stand on its own. Well done and some fun colorful markings to catch the eye.

  8. Good looking B-26 - looking forward to their 1/72 version... Nicely put together!
