"Britain's Beast!" -- Tamiya Mk IV Male

June 11, 2024 · in Armor · · 17 · 213

Another fantastic kit from . A joy to build, especially the tracks. Totally OTB and nothing added except many, many (many) hours and sessions of weathering and layering. I threw lots and lots of stuff at this beast. Pigments, oils, washes, dirt, filth. Blood, sweat and tears for sure. I may eventually add it to a diorama, but not decided yet.

Hope you enjoy the pics. Please comment and/or critique if needed.

Cheers,

Graeme

    Well done!

  2. All those hours of weathering are definitely worth it, Graeme @graemestreet
    This is an awesome beast.

  3. Thanks @fiveten and @johnb. I don't usually take my weathering so far, but it had to be done. Glad you liked it. G

Your many hours of work are certainly seen in the weathering! Amazing!

    • Thank you David. I don’t think I’ve ever weathered a model this deep. Took a long time. It sat there for months clean before I could summon the nerve to get her dirty.

  6. Ewwww it's so dirty! Looks Great.

  7. Great looking build, Graeme! Is there a dio that goes with it?

  8. Awesome work mate! If there are tanks that just beg for some heavy duty weathering are those from the trench wars in Flandres

  9. All your hard work most certainly paid off. Excellent model!

  10. All around spectacular build. Feel like it just rolled out of no-man’s land.

  11. Excellent build on the Mk 1V, imagine that rumbling at you out of the swilling mist and smoke!

  12. Very well done. Imagine crewing one of these things, no thanks.
