Dragon 1/48 Ju 88G-1 Mistel
There is never a shortage in Luftwaffe topics with eye catching adaptations and color schemes. Here is a Ju 88G-1 Mistel variant from Dragon. The aircraft depicted here was captured by the Americans without the piloting aircraft attached. It appears that it was not operational.
Superb result on this Ju88 Mistel, Rafi @blackmopane
Especially this camouflage looks awesome, a lot of manual work done.
Well done.
Thank you John.
Very well done, the camo looks perfectly done and that is not an easy scheme. Great work.
Thank you Anthony.
Looks good, Rafi
Thank you Gary.
That turned out well, Rafi. Now I have to search to find out if they ever used these operationally.
Thank you John.
Wiki says no.
Wow, the camo...
Thanks George
Top notch camo work!
Thank you Dale!
As everyone else has said, the paintwork on this is really outstanding.
Thank you Tom.
Did anyone mention the awesome paintwork? Outstanding!
Thank you Chas!
Yeah, you had me at "squiggles and splotches!" How on earth you got that squiggle pattern down so nicely is beyond my skill. I'll never be able to achieve that look in 1/72... 🙁
Indeed, I would not try to squiggle a 1/72 model. The lines are to thin to give an effective representation of the scheme.
Another gem, Rafi! Painting and weathering are, as always, superb! If I recall (never built one), the Dragon kit is said to be a challenge to build, nothing your excellent skills cannot handle, of course.
Congratulations!
Thank you Spiros!
Indeed, this kit suffers from fit issues in the wing fuselage area and the canopy components.
