Junkers Ju 52 Swiss Air Force
In 1939, the Swiss Air Force acquired three Ju 52/3m. For the next 40 Years, the type was the largest aircraft in the Air Force's inventory and was used for a wide variety of tasks.
During their long service Lief, the aircraft acquired the affectionate Nickname "Aunt Ju".
It was not until 1981 that the aircraft were retired and taken over by JU-AIR.
Unfortunately, no Swiss Ju 52 is flying anymore, except for the only Ju 52 in France at La Ferté Alaise.
The entire Fleet was Shut down due to a tragic Crash.

Sehr schön gemacht, Hans-Peter. Weckt Erinnerungen an Besuche in Dübendorf als Kind!
Beautiful work, Hans-Peter!
Very nice build of the Tante Ju. The one that crashed was the most famous of the three as it appeared in the entertaining but not so great/totally historically inaccurate WW2 film "Where Eagles Dare" and "Valkyrie"
A beautiful build of this iconic aircraft, Hans-Peter @messerschmitt
It is a real pity that none of them are flying anymore, except the one in France.
Well done. I've always been fascinated with Tante Ju, managed to see a couple of them flying.
Nice work, Hans-Peter @messerschmitt - showing two together demonstrates the results are not "one off".
Fantastic builds, Hans Peter!
Very nice - looks great in those markings as well.
