Stressed Surface by Painting on ZERO 1/24

While researching WWII models, I noticed that these airplanes used thin and lightweight aluminum alloy sheets for their skin to reduce weight and extend flight range. Historical photos show that the stress patterns on these aircraft were often irregular and visually distinctive. This case focuses on the presentation of stressed skin observed on IJN fighters, setting aside the typical paint chipping due to the lack of primer coating during the final stages of the war.

  5. Thank you so much for all the comments and welcoming messages. I am honored. I’m a mature hobbyist with minimal time, so I keep a slow pace with my scale model building. I've read all your comments and will continue to enjoy my slow but joyful pace in the future.

I have two more IJN builds planned. The reason is straightforward: I would like to work on a series of similar models to save on supplies and gain experience with similar surface expressions.

  6. Excellent work!
