Winston Churchill – Dolman Miniatures, 1/10 scale
The young Winston Churchill, in his early 20s, still at the beginning of his military career.
I chose to give a really youthful, almost childish, look to the figure, without wrinkles or deep shadows, and maintaining an impeccable uniform and polished straps and buttons, as befitted any officer of Her Majesty.
The figure is from Dolman Miniatures in 1/10 scale and painted with acrylics.
Of impressive quality, it was a real pleasure to paint this bust.
I hope you like it as much as I did,
Manuel

Brilliantly done, captures the young Churchill exactly.
Thank you !
Skin tones are perfectly done. One of the most realistic I've ever seen. Bravo! Manuel @magrus
@eb801 thank you very much for your kind words!
Superb!
Do you know the meaning of the "chainmail" on his shoulders?
Thank you @tamisian!
As far as I know, the shoulder chains epaulletes seem to have originated in the Indian Army, as protection against sword cuts to the shoulder, and (like so many things) were adopted by British Cavalry units. Some units wore them till WWI.
